OUR HISTORY

Abundant Harvest Church of the Nazarene (then called simply the Pratt Church of the Nazarene) was organized on March 1, 1942, after a revival with Rev. C. William Fisher.  District Superintendent O.J. Finch, organized the church with 21 charter members with Rev. Cecil Miller as the first pastor.  They first met in a building in the 200 block of N. Main St, then moved to a store building at 216 N. Hamilton in November, 1942, where they worshiped until August, 1943.   This was in anticipation of a new church building with land bought in 1942 and a church building purchased and moved onto that property at the corner of Cleveland and Pine.  This was the church home until December, 1968.

Land had been donated by the Doskacil family on the northeast corner of Pratt and a new church building (our current building) was built.  The first services in the new building at 1120 Glenarm St were conducted on Nov. 2, 1969.  Approximately 1 1/2 acres of land due east of the property were purchased in 1982, giving us a beautiful backyard setting for events and future expansion.

In 2005, the name of the church was officially changed to Abundant Harvest Church of the Nazarene.
