Hello
My name is Caleb Powell. At The Call last summer (Mid-America Nazarene University 2021), God cemented my call to the ministry, but I really felt I needed to learn first hand from missionaries in the field. That exploration started me on a unique journey to the Central American Region to train, serve, and experience. Please prayerfully consider helping me financially as I serve with the team that coordinates all Work and Witness trips to the region and work with Scott and Emily Armstrong.
The Plan
I will initially go to Costa Rica where I will study language and culture while serving for 8 weeks. Teams from the school go out weekly to outlaying communities to minister and serve.
Then I will go to the Dominican Republic to serve the next 8-10 weeks with the Work and Witness coordinators and working with Scott and Emily Armstrong (our Nazarene MesoAmerican Mission Coordinators serving 33 countries!)
Prayers
I would be truly blessed and honored if you would add me and the ministry to your prayer list! Right now we need to raise funds, figure out airlines, lock down lodging, etc. I have been in constant communication with the team in both Costa Rica and Dominican Republic- they are wonderful people and passionate about Christ and the Mission. I'm excited to partner with them. This is a strange time during the pandemic, but the need for Jesus is as desperately needed as ever. Thankfully, God is Lord of all of this!
Fundraising
As with anything, funding is needed to achiever this goal. I'm looking at $8,000-9,000 for this 5 month mission trip. This covers the education at Costa Rica's Seminary, lodging and food in both locations, and airline fees. I have been working since this summer saving funds from my self-started Recycling business here in Pratt, KS. But I need much more. I am humbly asking for you to prayerfully consider donating to this cause. I will soon have a Nazarene Global Mission Account set up in my name, which I will post as soon as it becomes available. In the meantime, a note of intention would be wonderful OR you can give right now (tax deductible) to our Abundant Harvest Church of the Nazarene paypal account using the "donate" button, just note "Caleb Missions" in the memo line!
